Haiti Survie is an organization dedicated to promoting sustainability and resilience in the face of climate change. In a world where the effects of climate change are increasingly being felt, Haiti Survie wants to be at the forefront of defending the interests of vulnerable communities. To this end, it is launching strategic advocacy campaigns and establishing a network for reflection and action on climate issues. The initiatives developed as part of these campaigns are revealing:
  • Raising awareness of the climate emergency and its impact on Haiti.
  • Mobilize civil society and decision-makers to adopt appropriate and robust environmental policies.
  • Promote sustainable solutions adapted to local realities.
The aim of these campaigns is to:
  • Organization of community forums to discuss climate challenges specific to Haiti.
  • Working with the media to disseminate information on climate risks and prevention measures.
  • Launch of digital campaigns to amplify the message and reach a wider audience.
Setting up networks of community organizations to reflect on and combat climate change
Recognizing the complexity of climate issues, Haiti Survie has set up a climate-focused think-tank network. This network brings together grassroots community organizations to share knowledge, ideas and strategies in the fight against climate change, supported by experts, researchers and practitioners.
Objectives :
  • Create a multidisciplinary platform for the analysis of climate issues.
  • Develop evidence-based policy recommendations.
  • Strengthen local capacities for climate research and innovation.
Actions :
  • Conferences and thematic workshops to encourage the sharing of expertise.
  • Publication of reports and studies to inform public policy.
  • Strategic partnerships with academic institutions and international organizations.

These initiatives aim to create a lasting positive impact for the environment and the well-being of future generations in Haiti. They are essential to building a society that is more aware of and prepared for the challenges of climate change.
